Yara Sultan is a distinguished Raqs Sharqi performing artist and instructor, renowned for her refined artistry and deep cultural knowledge.

She is highly proficient in Egyptian, Turkish, and Lebanese Oriental dance styles, with additional training in ME​​NA folkloric traditions and dance training. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Yara has pursued extensive national and international study, traveling throughout the United States and abroad to Egypt, Turkey, and Morocco to train with esteemed dance artists and immerse herself in the cultural foundations of the art.

Since beginning her formal Raqs Sharqi studies in 2003, Yara has remained devoted to the integrity of the dance. Her approach extends beyond technical excellence, emphasizing musical interpretation, cultural context, emotional expression, and the historical beauty of the dance. Through her holistic philosophy, she guides her students toward authentic artistry and confident individual expression.

Highly sought after and widely respected, Yara performs regularly throughout the Triangle, Triad, Fayetteville, and surrounding regions, maintaining a set schedule as a resident dancer at select venues. She accepts a limited number of private engagements each month, including weddings, henna celebrations, bridal events, and corporate functions. Due to demand, early booking is strongly encouraged.
